Skilled Trades Award

New! Skilled Trades Award
Open Application for Year-Round Consideration.

Children and grandchildren of Society members may now apply for the Foundation's Skilled Trades Award on a year-round basis. This $1,000 educational grant is available to students who are beginning or continuing post-secondary education in a skilled trades program. These vocational careers can include plumbing, electrician, auto mechanics, welders, CDL certificate, healthcare certification and licensing programs, or many of the other skilled trade jobs that require work experience, on-the-job training and vocational education, but not a 4-year Bachelor's degree. For consideration, interested applicants must submit a fully completed typed application for review and approval by the Foundation Board of Trustees. Applicants who have previously received a scholarship or skilled trades award from the Foundation are not eligible to apply. A designated number of skilled trades awards will be available each year. The award must be used in the current academic year following approval by the Board of Trustees.
