Cause of Death: Special Agent Daniel Alfin, was killed in the line of duty February 2, 2021, in Sunrise, Florida, while serving a federal search warrant at a suspect's home in a crimes against children investigation. The suspect opened fire on the team of agents as they tried to breach the door. Alfin was mortally wounded, along with Special Agent Laura Schwartzenberger.
Alfin was born on January 17, 1985 in Manhasset, New York. He joined the FBI in April 2009.
