Date of Death: March 11, 1992 in the performance of law enforcement duty in Kansas City, Missouri.

Cause of Death: On the night of March 11, 1992, Special Agent Stanley Ronquest, Jr., was shot and killed when an assailant attempted to rob him outside of a Kansas City, Missouri, hotel. Special Agent Ronquest, Jr., who had served the FBI for over 21 years, was assigned to the Criminal Investigative Division at FBI Headquarters. At the time of his death, Special Agent Ronquest was on official business in the FBI's Kansas City Field Office. Ronquest was born in St. Louis, Mo. October 1, 1939. He was a 21-year veteran in the bureau’s organized crime unit in Washington and was in Kansas City investigating alleged links between organized crime and the Teamsters’ union when he was killed.
