Special Agent Arnold served in the FBI from 1959 to 1982. He donated this memoir in 2006.
SA Arnold writes a detailed description of a burglary investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department that turned into a riot and shooting of the men of the Nation of Islam mosque. The FBI was asked to investigate the shooting as a potential civil rights violation. SA Arnold interviewed the officers of the LAPD involved in the incident.
Also included are copies of newspaper articles about the riot and death, as well as the remarks, of Malcolm X.
